Hi all am about to get some ICE fitted and thought to even things out with losing some performace through weight that I would stick in a K+N panel filter. I currently have it on order, and it should be coming in, in about a week or so. Was just wondering if it is a simple job to unclip the airbox in my STI 8. What sort of problems might I encounter, and is there any reason why I shouldn't bother with it. Cheers for any advice that comes.

You should have no problems whatsoever from fitting the panel filter or the end result. simple job to undo the clips ensure that the filter is seated in the base of the air box correctly and up towards the inner wing end of the air box as the lid on replacement has a tendancy to move the element as the lugs of the upper lid engage in the base.Have used K & N'S for years no problems.
