had a rocker gasket go on mine about 3 months ago. Always worth doing both rocker gaskets - bought all the parts from graham Goode and a local garage did the job for £50 labour - which I think is reasonable. The smoke from the oil burning on the exhaust and coiming up through the scoop was driving me buts - u had this problem yet ?

I changed the right hand cam cover gasket a little while ago. It is not too bad a job, you can do it all from the top of the engine. You have to remove the air box so that you can get at it. I find it is easier to undo the two chassis bracket bolts on the air filter housing and take it all out. Six bolts hold the cam cover on, no need to take the spark plugs out. There is a breather pipe to remove on the top front of the cover. You need the gasket and the two sealing gaskets around the plug holes, the six rubber seals for the bolts and the two hard rubber half moons. It is worth using the Threebond 1215 silicon gasket compound as recommended by Subaru behind the gasket and under the rubber half moons. The old half moons are liable to crack as you remove them. Best to clean the mating surfaces with meths and give the gasket compound 4 hrs to cure before you start the engine.
Good luck

Don't forget if you replace all the seals etc,it costs around £40 per side for parts alone
Btw i did the drives side the other day and it was pretty easy once the airbox is removed.
