Question

I'd like to get more power from my P1, around the 350 mark. Anyone tell me what I would need to do to it?

cheers

Exhaust, down pipe, ecu, induction kit, headers, up pipe, bigger turbo, uprated fuel pump, uprated fuel regulator, bigger injectors, front mounted intercooler and last of all, cutting up your front bumper and lip to get your front mounted intercooler in!

Actually, i think with all that, you'll probably get more than 350 BHP.

Did I miss anything?

Where do I start? I assume there is a order to all these mods and how much will I get after doing each mod?

Hand it over to Power Engineering, Scoobysport or BR Developments (or similar) give em some cash and comne back a week later

Best to get the exhaust and filter done along with the ECU, and make sure its one that can be re-mapped to cope with each mod.

After that go for the I/C then turbo and injectors together, and so on....

If you have the cash, its best to give it to someone for a week.

P1 RAJ,

The following would certainly help:

Free flowing exhaust system,
Uprated fuel pump and Fuel Pressure regulator,
A Larger turbo,
FMIC,
An ECU remap, or replacement aftermarket ECU.

PS: You wouldn't happen to live anywhere near the A355 would you?

Hi P1 RAJ,

Not far from me then. I thought there was a chance you owned the P1 that lives along the A355 near me.

Isn't the P1 equipt with the VF28? Surely that can manage 350 bhp?
I hope so, mine goes on soon!

Cool

I suspect that 350bhp from a VF28 would really be pushing it. That said, many years ago I did see a VF23 make 346bhp on power engineerings rollers... but I suspect those figures were not quite honest.

PS: The VF23 is "bigger" than a VF28.

checkout the Ecutek website for mappers.
Also worth going along to PowerEngineering as there based in uxbridge next next to Ecutek themselves..

Custom Tek3 mapping for the p1 can be done by Bob/Branko at BRDevelopments who have done quite a few tek3's on p1 on this board, (inc my old one).

the vf28 wont give the output u require for long
it is expensive to SAFELY get 350bhp from a p1
mine had full decat/aps cold air and fmic/uprated fuel pump/regulator/induction pipe/hybrid/tek 3 and managed 342bhp on optimax.BUT the moment i had to put s/unleaded in for 1 time it was like guy fawkes night on the knocklink.think very carefully about what u want from the car as modding it alters the perf around.i wld prob do less and work on increasing low down torque as u dont want to run these at 150mph as they just go pop.sold mine now as they attract thieves like bees to honey.speak to bob rawle br developments/mark at lateral perf what they havnt done isnt worth doing
