i have a my2000 turbo with de-cat centre and b/b, is it worth while fitting a panel filter and running it on super unleaded, does the car need to be set up at all or the ecu reset after these changes. also what would be the next steps to improve the performance further.

Thumbs up

No need to reset the ecu the car will self learn within 100 miles.

Next do the downpipe good for 15 bhp and spool up of turbo comes in 500-800 rpm sooner

Though keep your centre cat to hand as you won't pass emissions.

After that consider an Ecutek remap which will bring the car to around 280/290 bhp

Downpipe Circa £175 (Hayward & SCott make a nice one call Ian on 01268 727256) Ecutek £650 many specialists do this (all plus VAT)

thanks for that, do i need to fit anything to monitor the engine or stop it going bang. have heard of devices on here such as knocklink, are these only needed if you exceed 280bhp.

Definitely agree with above as regards to Knocklink. Better to be safe than sorry!
