I'm going to do a reset on a MY96 older Impreza- are there any possible downsides to an ECU reset or is it a risk free procedure. The dealer who supplied this was running it on 95 RON so I imagine it would benefit from a reset now it geats a steady diet of 98RON.

I'm aware how to do the reset- I wonder if there are any possible problems that can occur as the result of doing the reset? Like crap running until the ECU relearns.
