I am in the process of fitting the following to the 97 impreza sti import.

All HKS products

Hyper muffler
Racing suction induction kit
De-cat
Front pipe
Iridium plags
Fuel cut defender
EVC5 set at 1.2bar
Front mounted Intercooler

I should hope to get to the 340 bhp figure... But what would you recommend the next step should be if i dont want to change the internals of the engine but want to get near 380 bhp.

Maybe a full ecu remap and take the boost to 1.3bar or even higher ?

Im not really to sure what the remap will do, but i have seen that lots of you have had yours remapped.

If so who would you recommend in the Kent area to get this done.

Cheers all

Nev

Unhappy

I doubt that you will get near the 340bhp mark with the standard turbocharger, and you would need to go for bigger injectors and turbo and a FMIC to really see some proper power gains
I saw an STi5 type RA which had had some work on it (about 6k's worth of engine work) but it looks like it was running the original turbo, that mapped properly with a GEMS ecu was only running 327bhp (this car also had a FMIC etc).
Talk to Harvey, his STi6 wagon has serious BHP (470+ at the last count i think )

Red face

I should also point out that your car will have to have a replacement ecu as you cannot remap the one thats in there at the moment (gems/motec etc).
