Question

Been looking again at up-pipes lately and have seen some nice examples but they have been quite expensive for what they are.... these have all had a flexi/slip joint. I've seen Gruppe-S do one for £75 inc vat but this is just a solid pipe.... has anybody suffered leaks with just a solid pipe? Are there anymore disadvantages to the solid versions (particularly the Gruppe-S with regards to it's diameter)?

Cheers,

Tony.

I should have a spare Gruppe-S one going very cheap.

£50 inc postage, brand new, never used.

What diameter is that Paul? I think i've read somewhere that they are a bit bigger than say the H+S and that this isn't ideal.....

Sounds like a cracking price tho.... i'll do a bit of digging re the size and let you know. Don't let it go before hand tho.... i'll give you a definate answer tommorrow.

Cheers,

Tony .

I think it's 2.25" vs 2" on the scoobysport.

If you want ultimate crack freeness, get a slip jointed one from Lateral Performance, they are something like £120 though.

I think this is mentioned in Fuzz's thread ( all my money... ) in the projects forum, as non slip jointed up pipes may lead to gasket failure.
