Engine sound from fast and the furious

People who have seen the film should know what I am on about!
With the eclipse and other cars when they do the street race, they sit on the line and rev their engines, now, Do you notice the rather cool engine sounds and various whistles and sucking sounds (Sorry for the bad description!)
Does anyone know if a) it is possible to get a scooby engine to produce the same sort of sounds and of so,
b) what mods/parts would be required to do it?

Add a big, big turbo for that whinning sound!
