Fitting an induction kit, does it sound any different...? When I had my GT4 it sounded like a jet fighter taking off, will this be the same...?

regards

Imprezas don't give the massive induction roar enjoyed by some other cars, but there is a healthy difference over the OE.

Question

Are they safe for the engine... what should anyone fitting one watch out for?

K&N are regarded as safe for the fragile MY99 MAF sensor.
When fitting, you just have to make sure it's a good tight fit as vibration can also be a cause of dead MAFs.

Is it really worth installing one though...? All this maf sensor problems aswell as warranty being voided.
