Just had new cluch fitted over a week ago.
Now getting a knocking sound and feel through clutch pedal on start up.

I've read release bearing can pop its retaining circlipafter replacement.

Is this a symptom?

Only had car back a week after complete engine/turbo replacement.

any thoughts gratefully received.

That is true........though usually only in a recon unit. Take it back and get it checked out!

check the exhaust isnt hitting thr bulkhead under there.

Replacement engine was from an STI VI ,going into an STI V Type R.

I think if it was the exhaust I would have noticed right away. This only happened from yesterday.
