Keefa,

I have a full trust system and trust induction kit on my STI8. It was fitted from new and is the bee's knee's. It has a 4.5'' exit pipe a lovely lovely sound under acceleration but its quiet as a mouse car while motorway cruising. The number of times i have been told it sounds awesome is nobodies business.
As for performance figures my car is on the rolling road tomorrow so i will be able to tell you what difference it has made over the standard car.
I also have a Trust induction kit fitted which makes all the right whooses, whistles and chatter sounds.

I believe the Trust kit is Jap performance kit made to give big power rather than big noise.
If you buy Fast Car Uk this month you get a free DVD of New Zealand performance cars. Loads of them are running trust kit and have massive BHP.

I hope this is of help

Gary

Thumbs up

i have a full trust power evo II exhaust including dp on my my00.
with the silencer the noise level is acceptable, without it it sounds like a helicopter taking off...
quality wise these units are superb.
performance wise it made a hell of a difference in my otherwise std car when it was fitted.
a lot of people ask me what is it cause they are very rare at least in greece!
very happy with it and i fully recomend it.

Blachie

I agree with what you say. It seems quite rare here in the UK also but it makes a hell of a difference to the car.

Keefa,
No burble is due to the exhaust manifold design and the twin scroll turbo. Its unlikely to make a huge difference except amplify your current sound. Trust (or Greddy) are good bits of kit to puton a scoob.

Fatman go to www.dhcars.co.uk they sell the induction kit.

I must admit I aint sure what Induction kits normally sound like but mine makes some strange old noises. Under normally acceleration you get a big whistle, very heavy acceleration goes from a whistle to a chatter .... and on gear change you geta dump valve style whoosh. Took a bit of getting used to but i love it now.
The first thing everyone says when they go in the car is nice dump valve ...haha ......but i aint got one.

Peformance figures im not sure about but trust have a web site even though it is all in japanese

Question

The trust system sure looks nice, I am looking for an exhaust for my STI8 to go with my ECU-reflash.
What type of downpipe is it, twin or a scoobysport-type openneck?

TRUST POWER EVO II is designed for max pwr and is full 3in catless,as used by sti's on the japaneze N1 series races,i ve seen them with my own eyes.
they carry a "racing use only" certification by "jasma" cause they EXCEED 103db without the silencer.
with the silencer that drops to approx. 95db.
i ve tested both with and without and cannot confirm that its more powerfull without.
trust power extreme model is designed with legal issues in mind,so it makes less bhp than the evoII but it is street legal -jasma "street use approved"-and screams only 90db which is the db limit in japan.

If there's a 90dB limit in Japan no-one's told them about it! Some little sod last night on his poo-ped and no silencer waking the whole neighboourhood up... little g1ts.
