Help please - I have a longish journey tomorrow with a number of stops onroute.
I drove up to sainsburys (4 miles) this morning, with probably only 10 litres of fuel left in the tank; got back in the car after shopping; drove to halfords - went in came back out and she wouldnt start !
It took about ten minutes before she finally fired the first time but still didnt start; the second time of firing 5 mins later she kept running.
Whats going on ? Anyone any ideas ?
Help

Oh Yeah - MY02 WRX Std UK spec.
I have had the same probs with a '98UK car. If you even TOUCH the loud pedal b4 sarting it, it floods
:
You then need to crank it over while SLOWLY pressing the Lod pedal to the floor, and it should start.

Thanks chaps - I had 4 days in the IOW (saw loads of scoobs) and had no problems starting at all.
Having said that comming up on 10K service so I will mention it and see what they say.
Cheers

Agree with Pete..
Crank or Cam sensor.. Cam sensor is below / next to the oil filler
with a single bolt on the top and a few wires.. crank looks the same but is in the middle of all the pulley wheels in the middle of the engine.. remove and clean when it is occurring to see if it helps.. I believe they should work through the lay of dirt they collect but as they get older they fail to.. clean them and they work.. for bit..
