Can anyone tell me if getting a tek 2 ecu fitted would it solve the over fuelling problem that you get with VTA dump valves and the standard OE AE 801ECU's.
Thanks

John Banks can/will but I'll warn you now that he strongly advises against VTA's on a Maf based impreza. As a side note I have a tec 2.5 and so far have heard no loud bangs, pops or the woosh of flames with my VTA and it seems no different to when I had the standard DV.

You can't solve the overfuelling problem because you are making an artificial leak in what should be a sealed system. The prime concern is dilution of the oil with fuel from the excessively rich mixtures that occur with VTAs. Oil lubricates bearings better than fuel

Thanks John for the expert opinion

I think I'm going stick with the recirc DV.
