De-cat and CEL sensor help needed
#1
Am mega pleased at my downpipe de-cat and STi back box which was done yesterday, but after 150 miles or so the check engine light's come on and I tried the engine start/stop 3 times but it's not cleared.
Should one of those lamda sensor bypass things fix this? I'm pretty sure that the light is to do with the de-cat, everything seems fine etc.
Cheers!
:-)

The easiest option is to fit an MRT "O2 Sensor Defender".They're available from Jap Innovations in Oldham and cost about £35 and need four wires soldering under the car.It takes 20 mins to do and keeps the CEL from displaying an error code cos of the lack of a downpipe cat!!
(I have one of these fitted to my de-catted 01)
Cheers
Nick
P.S: Having the dealer reset the error code will only cause it to come on again within a 100 miles.....
