Does anyone know the length of the bolt needed to bolt a bosch knocklink sensor to the block of a MY00. I know its a M8 bolt but what length??? 25,30 or 35mm any ideas

I just removed the original bolt. And added that length on to the new bolt when it was passed through the bosch sensor. If that makes sense?!?!

I found one that only had about 8mm sticking out of the sensor, it hasn't fallen off yet So you could probably get away with a 25mm one but a 30mm one would be better.

Just buy one of each to be sure

I'm gonna do this too. Is a stainless bolt OK, or a no-no for some reason?

I just bought a M8x30 stainless and will try it tonight and let you know, it only cost 15p!!!! the cheapest part I have ever bought for the car!
