I got to take off my rocker covers to check what engine i got and i was wondering, do i need to drain the oil when removing them or not? on a normal car its a not, but being a flat four i dont know if oil sits in the heads or anything (i know there will be some..)

You don't need to drain the oil, it will have drained into the sump and there will only be a small amount of residue in the cam areas.

You just need something under the cam cover to catch a small amount of oil to save making a mess.
