Paul,
Anti lag won't give you any bhp, but what it will give is 0 (or greatly reduced)lag, the turbo is kept spinning by injecting extra fuel to burn in the exhaust manifold when the throttle is closed, thus giving lots of pops and bangs, and greatly shortening the life of the turbo. A switchable system is probably best, only using it when on track or posing in the town centre to scare old ladies.

I have anti-lag on mine, but never use it. It can be a very effective replacement for those "If you can read this you're too close" stickers though
If its pops & bangs you want have it remapped rich on overrun, if its flames fit a Flamer kit (very sad though)
You would have to spend much more on other parts to make anti-lag worthwhile...

steve simpson (found through teg motorsport 01524 733837) will remap uk and jap ecus for about £1500 , not a great deal more bhp, but can sort out your anti lag (switchable), and sort out the mpg/ ron runnings, and just about anything else.(not sure if it is more beneficial for imports, but @ least he could give you more info!!
