RB170

When cold I get a nasty tractor kinda sound (descriptive I know) from the front end when under power.

If I lift off then the noise go's away

I have a feeling that it could be the drive shaft ??

Anyone got any ideas

Could be a big end. Check your oil on the dipstick - can you see any metallic particles in it?
