MY 98 at the moment has a full HKS system, but I might be after a change. Will a scoobysport back box fit an HKS mid section ?

Not a chance!

The HKS is a larger bore, and it also uses different mounting flanges and positions.

Sell the complete HKS and buy something else, but at the end of the day the HKS is one of the best systems available for the Scoob so why bother, unless it's just too loud

Just an edit to say the HKS downpipe on the other hand is cack...

Thanks for the reply Tim, I thought as much.

I have no problem with the HKS system, was just after a quiter backbox...ah well back to the drawing board !!

You could get someone like Hayward and Scott to make you up a new back box to fit the HKS centre section, not unlike the one fitted to my car, which has an 18 inch long Silencer section, maybe that would help reduce the noise...

Then again if mine is anything to go by perhaps it won't be any quieter

LOL @ Tim, I reckon yours is still so loud due to the pipework having the same bore size as the Dartford Tunnel!!!!

Aside from the bore differences the HKS Centre is a 'unique' length, thereby ensuring you buy their whole system

John m8, I speant most of yeasterday at Hayward's whilest they fitted a second silencer into the mid section...and fitted the thing properly...guess what...it's still f*****g loud

I wouldn't be surprised if you could hear me start the car up from 5 miles away...it makes the ground shake at idle!
