Done the basics, what ecu mod?

Mine's a '98 UK. I've done decat, (TSL, full system), and ITG filter.
Question is, where do I go now?
I've heard rave reviews of Motec, I've been advised to go for equal length exhaust manifold, and have been pointed in the direction of Link.
What I'd like to know is: which system gives the best value for money? And which is least likely to end up melting my pistons? (Well, the car's then!: )
Are there others I can consider? I'd appreciate a sort of benifits/cost type of reply, if anyone can do one?
Many thanx,
Alcazar
BTW: done brakes and suspension too:

Link mapped by BRD, which I have on my MY98 UK, with full de-cat, brakes, suspension, ...
"Seat of pants" says plus c. 20 bhp and similar torque increase, as per other similar cars which have been link'd. Car is more responsive and enjoyable to drive
You will start to notice limits of small turbo and injectors at 5000 rpm+
Spending half the value of the car on ( ie ) M800 package and iON performance headers did not seem worthwhile
