After fitting FMIC and DP it hasn't really bee possible to fit the turbo heatshield and so was thinking of getting a turbo insulation kit from Demon Tweeks.

This is definitely going to reduce underbonnet temps and protect surrounding components but is it bad for the turbo ? , the stock heatshield has a duct to cool the turbo.

Turbo I have is a TD05 which is meant to be pretty tough.

The DSM guys here (US) have been rapping their turbo's (TDO4 or TDO5) for awhile without any big problems. The key is to also fit a turbo timer to help dissipate all that heat you hold in during driving. This will stop turbo "cooking" that has happened to some.
