Look on the K and N website. It tells you the code for the kit that will fit your car.

If you want to suck the pedestrians off the street and you like a seriously loud woosh on gear changes with heavy boost then this is the one for you. Exhaust note also becomes a little more boomy after about 4500 revs.

Some guys do get irritated with the noise after a while!! but i love it.

Nothing wrong with my K+N m8, does the job well, which at the end of the day is to simply create easier breathing.

Agree - if you have a MY99/00 & use a MAF (as in haven't changed the ECU for a load-based one), the K&N is the safest bet (others - not all, but many - have a knack of damaging the MAF, which in turn can actually blow the engine up). Well, that's what statistics appear to say (real ones rather than official), which you can choose to believe or ignore...
Some kits actually use a K&N filter anyway, the kit just supplies the tubing and a new name. They'd probably be ok .

I think Lash is equating poor to common!!

Think about it. Why do you think these K and N kits sell bucket loads. Quite simply - they are good value for money and do exactly what Nick says they do.

If any of you knew what you were talking about then you will find that the K+N filter will cause the MAF damage as this is an oil based filter! Goodnight Godbless!

And if you had a clue then you would know that MAF failures when using the K&N are practically unheard of. In fact, i'm yet to hear of one.
Quikshift induction kits are not tried and tested like the K&N on an Impreza, in fact - i've never heard of them.

Just added to say that i am not "lash" as john banks seems to think although i can see the similarity in the name. Nice to see someone else has an open mind about filters and doesnt believe in the scoobynet bible of an itg panel or a k+n induction kit.

What the fcku does it matter, at the end of the day each to his own, and the guy didn't ask for an argument just an opinion.

Thats all we gave. If you dont like K+N let him know why so he can make his own mind up, dont moan people.

LASH I think we have discussed this before in your other guise as "Well Hung" and disagreed then. IMHO if you are going to fit an induction kit to a MY99/00 turbo at least, a K&N is one of the better choices. This opinion does not mean I don't know anything just that I disagree with you Vibration, MAF offsets and oiling can all be issues with various induction kits.
