Hi Everyone,
Been trying to gather information regarding what exhaust to go for and i fancy a full SS system
Just a few questions (i have a standard MY99);
* do i need to re-map my ECU?
* what kind of power differences would be noticed?
* will this fail an MOT on emmissions?
Thanks for your patience
Scott

Not necessary, but it's always worth getting it checked out at a rolling road like Power Engineering, who can have a gas analyser on your car to make sure you are not running too lean!!
To be on the safe side get a:
* Boost gauge to monitor your boost levels
* Knocklink to ensure that your engine is not detting
* Lamdalink/air fuel ratio meter to ensure that you are not running lean
* what kind of power differences would be noticed?
My old UK MY99 responded well to exhaust and filter mods and on a cold day at Power Engineering it made 271bhp (minus 4 celius ambient) or 236bhp at Power Station (10 celius ambient)
Obviously the figures will vary depending on the rolling road, the temperature, the tester, the car, etc, etc.
* will this fail an MOT on emmissions?
It will not pass an MOT without an cats in the car, but if you replace your centre section (assuming you have a UK car) the centre cat is enough to pass the MOT as long as it's working correctly.
You may fail the idle test, but it should pass the fast idle test.
If all else fails, replace the original downpipe cat!!
Hope this helps
