How hard is it to remove the standard backbox from MY00 and then put another one on. Ive just bought a P1 exhaust of bbs and dont want to have to pay someone to fit it. Any advice would be very welcome,

Cheers

Simple, very simple. The BB has two hangers at the rear and another hanger near the back of the silencer..... its joined to the center by two nuts/bolts, undo the nuts and bolts, take BB of hangers..... easy.

Refit is a reversal of removal, I find it easier to put the BB on the rear hanger, do up the nuts then put on the reat two hangers.... clean up the flanges with a wire brush and use a gasket/paste to make sure of a good joint.

15min job.

Cheers for the help, sounds easy enough.

One last question and please understand I am a novice but what do I ask for in the shop when it comes to gasket/paste, will they know what I mean and presumably I dont need to go to Subaru?

Thanks again,

Chris

You need Holts Fire Gum to help the exhaust seal as well.
