i got an equal length exhaust headers. got them second hand and for real modest money. The reason for that that its slightly rumpled so the gemetry of one of the four pipes isnt ideal. What do you think will it do the job properly?
Also in one forume ive read that equal length headers will make scoobs famous boxer sound like honda. Is it true? I don want to lose this lovely boxers burble.
And finally if i do the headers without remapping ecu will it give any gain? The guy i bought the headers insisted that remapping or aftermarket ecu is must for this headers otherwise it may not to improve power but to do it worse.

With my equal length headers (PE) the boxer burble is all but gone. But theres an almighty full on roar (???) under hard acceleration like a big bike.....

I love the sound under load - you have to hear it cos I cant describe it! Still miss the burble a bit at low revs though.

But you get all that extra torque to play with so its definitely worth the sacrifice!

Ben

Cool

Lol at David.

It seems the Boxster term is being taken up though.

The term is "Boxer" as in Boxer flat 4 engine.
