Sometimes when i hold the revs around 3,500 rpm to overtake a car,And then put my foot down it feels if i have lost boost, the engine revs, but not very quick. If i drop it from third to second and put my foot down straite away it is o.k
Any ideas?

Its an MOT feature - car thinks its being emmisions tested, blipping throttle off then on agian will cure it.
