MY98 Centre CAT
No doubt been asked a million times before but:
Will adding a de-cat centre fail my emmisions test ?
Do induction kits effect emmisions too ?
Thanks from a scooby new-comer

Removal of the centre cat should not cause the car to fail emissions. There is a second cat, or rather first cat in the downpipe that will still be there. AFAIK this one cat on it's own should be sufficient to pass the MOT - if you wait until october I'll let you know for sure, as have removed centre cat on my 98 a few weeks ago.
As for the induction kit - it will affect the air fuel ratio usually makeing it a bit lean a low RPM (so I've read), but again, this should not cause MOT failure.

Sorry to hi-jak this thread a bit.
But i am thinking of adding a scoobysport centre section
to my back box soon

Did you notice any improvement in performance scratch when you
added the centre section

I would expect the sound to improve though

Bye for now
