Since it now looks like I'm keeping Scooby for another few months at least, I'm quite interested in putting a better backbox on.

As a rule I hate loud aftermarket drainpipe exhausts, but I feel my MY00 could really benefit from a little extra growl. So I'm after a non-boomy system that will keep the value on my car, not look ridiculous, and not wake the neighbours when I go to work at 6am every morning.

I think this puts me in the market for a prodrive backbox. What should I be paying, and are there any bhp gains - not bothered about extra power really, I don't want my insurance to go crazy!

I can recommend the Grp N TSL back box.

It gives a nice deep growl on low revs and is not too noisy on higher revs. I can cruise at motorway speeds without any booming e.t.c.

Perfect if you want something slightly louder than normal, but not too much in your face!!

My neighbours have yet to complain about me leaving the house early in the morning.

I bought the prodrive backbox for my STI7 for exactly the same reasons - Want a bit more noise, but not too much.

On a completly different note, I'm probably going to be selling it very soon along with a scoobysport centre aswell, because of imminent PPP.
