Would like to know if anyone has upgraded their engine and or gearbox mounts to the group N part ? (avail from MRT) I've fitted both and it would be good to hear of others impressions and results.
Cheers in advance, Mark.

Did mine last year, MASSIVE improvement in feel when shifting, and loads more of noises in the cabin.
I did out of fear of shredding front cvd's with the drivetrain tilting under hard launches.

I was advised to change the gearbox (or rear engine) mount while I was changing my diff bushes to Powerflex...apprently the rear dif rotates on it's mountings in a manner not unlike axle tramp on a beam axled car, this doesn't translate to the wheels, but you can hear the diff banging away on the chassis
By stiffening up the diff mounts more load is transferred back towards the engine, so the gearbox starts moving up and down...stop that and the engine starts moving...so I've replaced all the mounts, now my chassis can twist
Can't comment on what the car is like with them fitted it's still being put back together

Don't fit solid rubber grp n. engine and transmission mounts - The increase in NVH transmission to the cabin will be way OTT.
The STI mounts are more rigid, and will be an improvement without inceasing engine noise and trim buzzes too much.
Cheers,
Alex
edit: Ooops... just noticed that you've already done this... how do you find it?

Not really an issue for me anymore...the suspension mods will make it bad enough on their own (450lb front and 350lb rear springs!)
Bin the interior next, who needs all that extra sound deadening adding weight
