I`ve got a slight tapping noise when I start up from cold (like tappit sound).I was wondering whether this is piston slap and if so what can be done about it,ie:do subaru sort it out or what?
It`s a UK MY97 turbo.

 

Unlikely - pretty much all scoobs certainly of this year (mine's 97 - though an import - also) sound clattery on start up - as long as the sound goes once it's warmed up then there's no prob.
