Question

Hi all,

Are these engine bays the same??

My car is a 98 'S' plate but has the 99 facelift.

Just bought a MY99 dump valve!!!

It'll fit won't it????

Cheers.

How does your intercooler sit? directly (in line with) the scoop? or at an angle?

If it is a 98 S with the MY 99 facelift then it will be a MY99 engine AFAIK.

Interesting - my 1998 (R reg) WRX has the same engine (Intercooler in line with the air scoop. Could this be a 1999 engine and if so, can I tell by the engine number?

Also, what changes were made for the '99 MY?

Thanks

Where is the coil block? The thing where the red spark plug leads go to?

Is it to the right of the enigine or in the centre in line with the throttle body?

In the centre is a MY97/98 engine (late phase 1 aka phase 1.5). MY99> phase 2 engine has the coil pack offset to the right like in the pic. So yours is MY98.
