If have a UK MY00 turbo and have just bought a Link ECU for it, it take it I need a 3 port boost solenoid before I attempt to fit the Link and set it up but what is the 3 port valve, what does it do and where can I get one?

You currently have a 2 port solenoid - there's a hose between turbo outlet and wastegate with a t-piece in the middle. Follow the hose off the t-piece to find the 2-port.

I'd suggest a '3 port' or 3-port' search on bbs.22b.com to find the hose connections - there's a nice diagram there somewhere I used.

The 3 port will provide better granularity on boost control, by elimating (almost ) creep.

Cheers Dowser,

Bob Rawle's post was helpfull. Apparently they come as atandard on the STI 1, 2 & 4's so just have to find someone breaking one of these.
