I have a 98 turbo 27,000 miles I dont know if a have the piston problem when i start the car up from cold it sounds ok even when reving it but when i start to move off i can here a rattly sound that sounds like tappets is this it.How many 98 models does this affect is it all of them

 

this is normal when you just touch the throttle ..

 

Yes, it does affect quite a few 98/99/00my's, it is a case of if you can "live" with it, or wish to have the engine taken out for number4 piston upgrade replacement, as the other three are perfectly ok and remain servicable. Choice, is definately, "pocket" orientated..
