Question

Mods - Can you leave this in General for a while as I have had no repsonse from the technical forums - Thanks

Recently I fitted a Forge VTA dump valve on my Uk300 with PPP. I have noticed that the car tended to be hesitant at certian revs, so today I refitted the original as I am selling the car. It now appears much smoother through the rev range?

Anybody else found this. The thing was sealing properly etc and there appears to be no technical fault with the Forge

I am intending to fit it to my new Sti8 but am now unsure.

What is the best option. Leave standard or fit VTA or high quality re circ to it ?

Any advice would be good

Steve

What was the sound like on the forge one? Was it loud?

I fitted a Forge VTA to my 02 WRX, it seemed more hesitant and the niose was pathetic.

Took it off and Forge refunded me.

Unhappy

I think that it may be down to the spring tension ?

Anyway still looking for the best technical solution, not noise. I'm slowly coming to the conclusion that a good quality re circ may be the answer ??

Forge sent me the different spring and some shims but that just made it worse.

I fitted a Forge VTA dump valve to my STi7 about 6 months ago. I have had no problems whatsoever. Performance wise I have not noticed any improvement (I did not expect to), but it does may a lovely luod pssshhh noise when I come off boost.

Spoke to TSL yesterday about it and have advised that they have it for checking. Seemed surprised that I had noticed hesitation but explained that Forge Guarantee and could even probably get my cash back if not happy
