I'm looking into fitting my Aquamist water injection system (1s) onto my '97 Sti jap import.
The engine bay is a little cramped and to be honest I'm struggling for a decent location for installation - any one done similar that could give me some ideas??
Cheers.

My Aquamist motor is bolted next to the intercooler.
It takes it's water feed from the windscreen washer bottle.
I have to top up the washer once a week and keep an eye on it - no big deal.

A really good place to put it is on the passenger side chassis rail - the location is below the fuel filter.
On the chassis rail there is a threaded hole - you put the pump on a plate - 3 - 4 mm aluminium is good, drill the plate and hey presto. Strongly recommend you buffer the plate before you mount it - true of anywhere on the car - to protect you from noise and the pump from shocks.
The washer bottle is good - however if you go on track make sure you check it every session - it is surprising that on boost all the time the water just drains away.
Finally - don't use to big a jet size - 0.4mm is more than adequate up to around 350-400bhp. Use to big a jet and you will lose power.........and if you have a remappable ECU you will find that with water on you will need to lean the fuel out a little.
