Depends on for how long and how you launch the car.
My standard clutch has done 30000 miles, 6 track days and a lot of ECU and parts testing (had 200+ maps on the car, lots of different exhausts, several turbos, three intercoolers etc), it let enough torque through to strip 3rd gear. With a replacement standard box with gentle launches on an airfield at an estimated 370 lbft (enough to see off a 420 BHP Evo anyway ) it still didn't slip.
Andy F's clutch also looked in remarkable condition after doing 370-400 lbft with several days at the drag strip, lots of testing and a few trackdays.
However, some people get clutches slipping below 300 lbft! We are convinced my clutch is weird
Fair to say a clutch will take more smooth steady torque than suddenly dumping the clutch with a powerful car at launch.
Also, I always thought my standard clutch would protect my gearbox from too much torque - not the case, and I am gentle with it.
I think the main limit on Subarus is the gearbox well before the engine, others will have been less fortunate with the clutch and luckier with the gearbox.

it's just that you see after market clutches 'rated to 400ft lb' and stuff like that, I was just wondering that's all. Haven' had any slip on mine so far...
