Right then, I'm just comming up on 5k miles and am going to do an oil change (I dont want to leave it till 10k intervals - just like everyone else).
Should I switch to fully synthetic now (Mobil1 15-50) or shall I do another 5k and go for FS at the next service.
The engine has loosened up a far bit since new - but in comparison to my old MY99 it still has a ways to go.
Thoughts please.

Full synthetic would be fine but personally I would continue with semi-synthetic until the next service.
With my 99my I changed the oil at 4k (Magnatec) then took along my own Mobil 15/50 to the dealer service at 7.5k (I also asked him not to check the other fluid levels - which is basically all they do on that service- as I check them every week myself. This resulted in a nice cheap service and the book stamped!)
