Question

Is it possible to swap the STI adlustable diff bits to the UK cars and what would be needed to do the job?

Both front and rear diffs, the centre diff, it's ecu (yes it has one all to it's self) and the little wheel job.

Ideally you would need to buy a complete Type R / RA transmission.

1200 quid seems to be the going rate for the centre diff and controller, but then you have to add the front and rear diffs as well because the UK box has a 1.1:1 final drive and all the others a 1:1

Probably just as expensive but a lot more effective, and in the end stronger, would be to get an ATB (Auto Torque Biasing) centre diff. It automatically shuffles power front to rear depending upon the torque loading, so no need to play around with the wiring

Thumbs up

I think, but can't be absolutely certain, that Town End stock the Modena centre diff, and that Quaife may also offer one.

An ATB centre diff, is that also available?

I'd say it's an easy operation, as the transfer case 1,1:1 split is in 2 gears that are easily swapped, then you'd need to change the rear gearing (pinion and crown, or a new unit) to make it similar to the front (3,9:1?).

After that it's just a matter of installing the diff.

I'm *very* tempted myself...
