sparkplug heat range???

Question

Its been recommended to me that i should get NGK PFR7B plugs--I was at Halfords today and had a look at their sparkplug guide and it recommended PFR6B--IIRC the lower the number means it burns hotter,so what difference does it mean between the 2 types

+ why are their different heat ranges???

7's for modified and imports.
Can't help on the heat range.

Easy, you want to be running at LEAST 7's, if you have a couple of modifications, look at running either 8's or the HKS iridium from BRD.

PS. Having to hot a plug can melt pistons.
