My check engine light came on tonight? And now my car won't accelerate above 4500rpm. Not sure of the symptoms feels like complete loss of boost as soon as it hits 4500
Was driving sensibly i.e. not thrashing it or driving hard at the time, am at a complete loss to what’s wrong

Please can any one advise on what’s gone wrong and cure?

I'd say it sounds like the MAF...is it boosting normal up to 4500?

Yes secret the check engine light is on all the time now?

Have just noticed this morning the speedo is not working too??

Drives perfect up to 4500rpm then just dies violently

Ah, the old speedometer sensor thing then?

Get it checked with delta dash, or the old connector and flashing lights routine.
