UK g/box on a WRX
#1
Anyone ever done this ? Only qualm I have with the imports is the short ratio box which is fine on long jouneys power wise (obviously I guess) - but just feels painful.
Could you just stick a UK box in there or is the final drive ratio different as well ?

No didn't think so !
OK so basically I need both parts the gearbox and the main diff then.
Anyone ever done this by the way ? I haven't heard of people doing this which is surprising really cos the ratios are a wee bit too close for cruises I reckon.

Plenty have done it...You need the gear box, and rear diff...
Not sure what you mean by the main diff
The gearbox houses the Centre diff/Transfer box, and front diff, whilst the rear dif is a seperate item.
