more torque

Im currently running magnex half decat with a k&n 57i induction kit with a dawes device set at 1.1kg/cm3, im looking to get a bit more low down torque. If i was to replace the cone with a k&n panel filter with oe filter box would that do the job or would
it rob it of power further up the rev range, which im not to worried about cuz 80% of my driving is around town and country roads
Also im fitting a magnex down pipe next week would that help with the low down torque
cheers

Downpipe will help the boost come in lower down.
When i fitted the K&N to mine i just gained a slightly better throttle response.
The full decat will make your car rev much easier. When i first had mine done i kept hitting the rev limiter unintentionally.

I see waht you are saying about the boost coming sooner but will that help with the torque curve. Am i right in saying that panel filters are better for low down torque but loss power at top end and cone filters better for top end power but crap for low down torque. If so why is that, Has any one gone from a cone to panel filter i would like to hear your findings.

Downpipe will definitely help with the torque curve - typically it will bring it in 500rpm lower in ballpark terms. Can't comment on the air filters.
