Is it safe to use this manifold without remapping the ECU?

Safe? Maybe. Advised, no

You have to try and see, but *every* design I've seen (not including this one) required a remap to get the best...none were dangerous without the remap, per se, just bloody awful to drive

Maxim headers with a MY00 PPP were detting on Jim Theo's car in Greece. It wasn't detecting knock - needed to be pulling -4 knock correction or so.

Unhappy

"Bloody awful to drive" Too bad I have an MY98 then, with limited choices when it comes to remapping the ECU. Exactly what will be "awful"? Throttle response? Boost control?
