Im overdue for a 60k service in my MY00. Can someone give me a guide price, so I know if my dealer is charging top whack???
Also thinking about substituting the usual oil & air filter supplied at service for something more exotic. Any recommendations??
Cheers

The 60K service is very similar if not the same as the 30K one which I am just about to have done.
Goto Subaru FAQ to see what has to be done
The prices varies in my region between £420 and £485 but that price will come down when you provide you own stuff
I am prividing my own:
Oil: Silkolene 5W40 £34.99 x1
Gearbox oil: Silkolene SYN5 £8.99alitre x4
Brake fluid: AP 5.1 £5.99 for 500ml x2
Spark plugs: NGK PFR7B's £36.40 for a set of 4
Think my final cost to Suabru was £350 ish
Hope this helps,
Nezz.

60k is the big one for your car, with cam-belt change (even though your service manual probably says 45k for that). Ring around for some prices. Stick some good oil in it for sure. See other threads on here.

Cheers Nezz - good info!
Hoppy - yeah the book does say cambelt change at 45k, so Id assumed it had been done then! Why is cambelt not changed to 60k?

My cambelt is to be done at 60K i think.
j0hnn0 - The stuff Subaru use is fine but due to my driving style and the trackdays I do though the year I like to use 'proper stuff'
when it is all changed.
The plugs that subaru use are the PFR6B's, the PRF7B's run a bit colder. I also have some braided brake lines to go on so another good reason to go for DOT5.1 stuff.
