OK folks I know all this has been asked before and yes I have looked in the search facility for previous posst. Unfortunately there seems to be still some confusion over what plug gaps to run varying between 0.7mm and 1.1mm.

Qusetsion is this on the older models (ie MY96) is it safe/best to run the gap at 0.7mm to avoid fuel cut/misfiring on WOT?

What damage (if any) can be done by running the wrong gap?

all thoughts greatly appreciated

Gap them to 0.7mm, that'll be fine mate. If you gap them too wide then there is a very small chance of misfire, but probably not.
