Help!

Just fitted a TEK2.5 which is a remapped MY00 AE802 ECU, and removed my MY99 AE801.

My idle is up and down like a yo-yo and my AFR guage is misbehaving. The light stayed on after I switched the ignition off, and now its sat in rich all the time at idle.

Does it sound like a wiring difference with the AFR or is the lambda really buggered?

Seems a co-incidence that I changed the ECU and then this happens.

You could reset the ECU, but it sounds more like the AFR wiring has been disturbed (presuming you picked it up at the ECU from near one of the plugs?) The ECU you have has standard AE802 code and standard Subaru idle fuelling and timing.

An ECU should be reset from having been disconnected, but occasionally odd behaviour on first install after power down has been fixed with a reset. One postal ECU I sent did this and behaved oddly until reset but was fine afterwards.

Note that the ECU does not go closed loop until the vehicle speed goes over a few miles per hour and the sensor is hot.

Also note that the ECU seems to "learn" the start and the first time you fire up the car after a power down or reset it can start badly or even stall. Usually perfect after a few starts.
