Unhappy

Being a new owner im not sure if the clutch should be like this. There is not much pedal lift before the clutch bites, is this right, are there any adjustments, also every now and again when I depress the pedal it makes a clicking noise as if is been tighten up too much. Theres no clutch slip.Cars only done 20K from new MY01 classic shape. Advice please before I go into garage.

There is a bolt at the top of the pedal assembly to adjust the pedal height, it should be 145mm from the pedal rubber to the floor, you will need two 14mm spanners.
Behind the pedal is a rod that joins the pedal assy to the master cylinder, undo the locknut on it 12mm spanner and turn the rod with the flats on it with a 6mm spanner to achieve 10-15mm freeplay at the pedal rubber.

If it still clicks there is a fork on the end of the rod where it joins the pedal this can move side to side causing clicking, remove the pin and fit a washer either side of the pedal and refit the pin to remove the movement.

Colin.
