Hi,
I am a fiat coupe 20 v t owner who has a good mate in carlisle with a dilema.
He has no access to the web or to this excellent site and he owns a legacy saloon awd turbo.
He has a full stainless system but requires to change it for his up and coming MOT.
He has the downpipe and cat but requires something to connect it to his system.
Does the impretza system fit to the legacy,does anyone have an exhaust from the cat back that would fit the legacy ,for sale?
how would he be able to connect his cat to his 4" system with the minimum of hassle ?
All feed back would be most appreciated..

No the Legacy exhaust is different then the Impreza, it won't fit. The Legacy mid-pipe is much longer, as well the rear muffler sections have different hangers/mounts

 

Interesting... Does it depend on year?

Only the rear box (muffler) of an MY99 fitted quite happily onto our MY95 Legacy Turbo...Except for the piping to meet the mid-section being too short.

 

legacy and impreza floorpan is the same apart from the back end
my d/p and centre fit an impreza no probs, just the hangers and tailpipe length that are different at the back end.

Might be changing the whole system on my 99 Legacy GTB, will sell complete old system if you're interested and it fits!

reading between the lines - I think it should be noted that ( I think) this query relates to the older shape legacy turbo not the twin turbos from 99 on - the former are pretty close to impreza where the latter are totally different.

 

sorry, should have said, i am refering to the older shape legacy, 1993 shape etc.
as mentioned above, later shape legacy is different and does not fit.

if his system is indeed 4" and your not just talking about the tailpipe, then i don't think 4" to 2.5" will fit

if it's pre-1993 you might get by without any modifications at all
