Did mine over the Christmas period !
put on a H&S up-pipe, scoobysport mid section, to replace my PPP centre, as well as porting the heads, manifolds and Turbo.
Gained 11Bhp and 4Ft/lb.
whether this was due only to one of the mods or a combination of all of them...who only knows !!
Here's what I did to the turbo inlet,

trust me when I say you WILL need some new studs for the turbo to up-pipe join, they were a real biatch, even with heat applied they wouldn't shift, well they did in the end but only by leaving thier threads behind

Had to make my own in the end, using

10mm metric fine threaded bolts with 1.25 thread pitch (MY00)

tried 3 different dealers, none had any in stock, ordered some....and I'm still waiting for a phone call to say they have come in.

proper die grinder, 20,000rpm
and some tungsten carbide cutters,
(abrasive wheels will be too slow)

just need to make sure the air compressor is a big one as they use a LOT of air, Oh and cover yourself up well and I mean WELL, the little shards of steel get everywhere.
the actual grinding work on the turbo could'nt have taken me more than five mins, however removal and replacement is a different story

Don't forget the compressor housing too :-)

Polish everything you can and, if you're brave, dress the outlet to remove the step (between outlet and the hose) as much as possible.

How did you get the knackered stud out?

Oxy-propane torch (cheaper than acetylene)

The studs are threaded into the up pipe and only "poke through" the turbo housing, I tried to re-use the oriinals but as I said they knackered themselves on removal. Did not matter that they wouldn't come out/knackered the threads, as the up-pipe was being replaced anyway.

note : use a bit of coppa slip on the new threads to aid removal...next time
