Yes I'm back begging for more help.I've got the Defi 3 gauge pod set up with the control unit.I've just ordered the EGT gauge.I take it that the sensor from the temp probe will fit into the back of the control unit, and then I daisy chain the last gauge(oil press) to the EGT.Question is how do I get the 3 gauge pod off to get to the gauges,c'ant see any screws/clips etc. Many thanks,Deep.

By carefully prising the pod out. From memory, there are 6 clip lugs that locate back, front and sides.... Can't remember if it is 2 on the back and front or sides though.

There are no screws for sure.... Start easing it off towards the windscreen end, if you cause any damage here, it is not that noticable....

Simon

PS. Have you installed your probe yet???

Good idea, get it done by professionally. I did mine myself, as I like to play but it is risky drilling a hole in your exhaust manifold, not cheap to replace if it goes wrong....

All went well though

Will be interested to know what your readings are when installed... To compare with mine, don't think JDM and UK STI PPP zorst temps should be greatly different

Cheers

Simon

Normal town driving on steady power, around 750-800 degs.

Motorway driving, depending on speed, anything from 800-900 degs.

Highest temp recorded so far, 920 degs. Can't remember how fast car was running/rpm, but needless to say, I haven't been anywhere near that figure since....

My probe is installed around 4 inch back from the flange mount. So I guess it doesn't get much hotter than that, except for in cylinder of course....

Expect yours will be around 100 degs less than mine if in the up pipe...

Cheers
